Waterproof boot for advanced trekking and high mountain Garmont for women, adaptable for use with semi−automatic crampons.
Agile and super light footwear for its benefits, having versatility as its strong point. Despite being designed for alpine routes, via ferratas and multi−day off−trail trekking, the Tower 2.0 GTX W is perfect for expert mountaineers and hikers looking for gear with minimal weight.
This model has a Vibram® Apex outsole with two compounds to improve traction and adherence performance: the front part has a composition and geometry to provide good traction on all surfaces thanks to its lug and its drainage channels avoiding the accumulation of mud, stones and snow. The rear part has an ultra−adherent compound and braking blocks in the opposite position to the direction of travel to allow efficient braking and support in any of the wet conditions that we find on the ground.
Waterproofing is guaranteed thanks to the Gore−Tex® Perfomance Comfort membrane which has been designed to guarantee optimal thermal comfort whatever the outdoor weather conditions. In this way, the objective of keeping our feet dry despite the humidity from the road or the perspiration that we generate is fulfilled since the water does not penetrate inside the shoe and the sweat is easily evacuated to the outside.for
The outer fabric of microfiber and nylon guarantees perfect resistance against the inevitable friction that the boots will suffer on excursions, favoring in turn the waterproofing and breathability of the inner membrane. The lower part of the boot incorporates the rubber toe cap and the Brunner Liba smart® protection band , a material that is as strong as it is light and thin, to even better resist twisting, wear and contact abrasive to rocks, branches and roots.
The Heel lock system for adjusting the heel is an enveloping piece that works together from the laces, preventing any slippage of the foot and making the foot and boot move in solidarity. The inside of the shaft is made of an elastic and adherent material that allows to hold the ankle without limiting the freedom of movement, thus achieving a natural feeling when walking without risk of injury.
The Tower 2.0 GTX W have been designed, like a good part of Garmont's footwear, with a series of technologies that make them very comfortable boots. On the one hand, the Ergo−Last internal anatomical structure that dispenses with marked angles in its shape, taking a rounded and soft contour adapted to the shape of the foot to adapt and adjust it perfectly, especially in the sole and on the heel. It also incorporates the Double damper , a two−part shock absorption system: the midsole absorbs shocks and irregularities from the ground, while another internal piece located under the heel cushions the support of the foot. The whole set is preformed to adapt to the anatomy of the foot, thus achieving a perfect fit that prevents unwanted movement inside the boot and, consequently, instability and chafing.
Another strong point of this boot is the Frame Flex Mid inner midsole made entirely of nylon. Provides in all the extension of the support of the foot the suitable mixture of flexibility and stability that is required for a long activity carrying heavy loads with all the comfort. In the forefoot area, it is designed with an area that allows progressive flexion to perfectly accompany the movement of the foot.
Insole with antibacterial properties thanks to the silver thread on the surface. EVA cushioning in the heel to further favor the absorption of impacts on the tread with heavy loads and long distances.
Last Alpine fit : allows a very enveloping fit with the toe box somewhat more spacious to achieve excellent precision in support without sacrificing comfort. The whole set has a weight of 535 grams for the half pair of size 5UK.
