Features ed. desnivel monte perdido
Monte Perdido is, by definition, the great Aragonese summit. It is located 3,355 m above sea level, on the border between the municipalities of Fanlo and Bielsa. The plains of the old Kingdom of Aragon are completely dominated from this summit open to the blizzard: Jaca, Barbastro, Huesca, Sariñena, Fraga, Caspe, Zaragoza ... and, in the background, the Moncayo closing the arid lands of Castile.
With great success, the pioneer of mountaineering, Louis Ramond, called this promontory of exception, the God of the Pyrenean mountains, since it has never had a rival in this world. However, nowadays, the carnival of the colorful crowds at its peak, makes its ancient character of great summit remain almost hidden. From the author of & quot; La Brecha de Rolando & quot ;, a new monograph, dedicated to the legendary Pyrenean summit: its geography, history, legends, a detailed chronicle of the ascents to its summit and a complete panorama of its rich natural environment .
