Jacket filled with fiber with hood from the brand Rab .
The Cirrus Flex 2.0 Hoody jacket is a technical garment for medium to high intensity activities with which to perfectly regulate our temperature in moderate to extreme cold conditions.
The main novelty of this second version of the famous Cirrus Flex consists of the change of padding with which it has been made. The filling of 110 grams of Primaloft Silver Luxe (size L) is manufactured giving consistency to a series of tiny polyester fibers that have a great swelling capacity, managing to retain the heat generated by the body during the activity and thereby creating isolation from the outside. The revolution in this case is that these fibers come from 100% recycled material , thus achieving a sustainable use of resources as well as reducing the amount of waste we generate.
This new synthetic fiber has an insulation capacity of 0.90 clo / oz / yd 2 dry (clo value per ounce and square yard) and 0, 76 clo / oz / yd2 in the wet, the equivalent of 625 cuin (cubic inches per ounce) in the dry and 550 cuin in the wet if we were talking about feather fill. This makes it possible to recommend this garment for those aerobic activities in which we need to be warm as well as to stay dry thanks to the water-repellent properties of polyester. Climbing, ice climbing, cross-country skiing, snow runners and high intensity mountaineering have their ideal equipment in this jacket.
Like technical down garments, construction has been made using micro partitions to avoid a displacement of the padding with movement during the activity and thus achieve a perfect relationship between thermal power and weight . In the same way, this type of construction is a guarantee of durability by avoiding the accumulation of filling areas and its consequent cold spots.
The Cirrus Flex 2.0 Hoody also has a very well thought-out construction to give it everything in the high mountains. Its most striking feature are the Thermic & trade; elastic lining side panels , made of polyester with 6% elastane, which achieve a double function: on the one hand, thanks to its ultra-breathable fabric it allows an almost immediate wicking away of sweat by dispersing and drying moisture; On the other hand, thanks to its incredible flexibility it will allow us to perform any acrobatic movement that the situation requires, without suffering jerks or misalignments with the rest of the equipment.
The Pertex Quantum ripstop outer fabric is made of 20 denier recycled polyamide to which a DWR ( Durable Water Repellent ) waterproofing treatment has been applied, durable water repellency ) without fluorocarbons. This adds to the great hydrophobic capacity of the Primaloft Silver Luxe filling and allows us extra protection in case we are surprised by snow, fog or a small storm.
The Atmos inner lining is also made of 20 denier recycled polyamide and is the perfect complement of softness and pleasant touch, together with a great capacity to wick away sweat to always be comfortable.
It is worth highlighting of this garment its great versatility . It can be used as a second layer intermediate garment in extremely cold conditions, as an outer layer in case of low temperatures with intense physical activity or simply used as a light coat on cool summer nights in the mountains. The important thing is that the shelter, the comfort and the isolation are guaranteed combining them as the situation requires it.
Likewise, it is an extremely compact garment , with a carrying bag and loop for carabiner included in the same left pocket, ideal to carry collection without occupying space ready for when we need to use it.
YKK main zip and YKK pocket zippers with storm flap for better insulation. Single drawstring hem adjustment and self-locking one-handed puller. Semi-elastic hood, articulated sleeves and semi-elastic cuffs for a precise fit during technical activities. Approximate weight of 422 grams (size M).Features:
