Features fritschi tecton 13 90mm
The new Tecton 13 uses high-tech plastics reinforced with carbon fiber for the front and heel shell. In other words: the Tecton is now even more stable and durable. Like the previous model, the block is compact through greater ease in fitting the toe thanks to a more solid stop, an improved guide and a larger opening of the stops, providing more security when the boot comes out towards forward when jumping back, since the bolts open more quickly when you feel the pressure on the toe.
It combines parts of the Vipec Evo such as its renewed and safe toe cap with Low Tech system, with a heel with a usual alpine spring and that acts with pressure on the rear base of the boot. As an absolute exclusivity, the alpine heel rail hooks onto the back of the boot, fixing it in the center and preventing loss of power.
It should be noted some important advantages of this binding compared to others with the Tech system:
- Lateral toe release. When the binding receives a strong blow on the side (depending on the DIN that we have set) the sides open as the track bindings act. The sides have an elasticity of 13 mm until final release.
- Adjustment of the toe release. It is regulated exactly the same as a track one both in the toe and in the heel, with the same DIN values of 5-13.
- The rising toe, has a position that stiffens the toe so that it does not jump with the gesture of walking if we go on half slopes or stumble, but it releases in case of strong falls or in the case of being caught by an avalanche while climbing .
- The tailpiece is mounted on a slider, so it maintains distance when flexing the ski without compromising release safety. It also allows a better flex of the ski improving driving. The heel counter also has up to 4mm stretch before vertical release.
- Putting the binding in ski mode is very simple, switching from ski mode to walk mode, and vice versa, on the fly, without having to remove the ski.
- Wide mounting scheme with range for various sizes (about 25mm range).
In addition to all these data we can say that the Tecton 13 binding has three raising positions, for maximum comfort on ascents and very easy to lift with the stick. They are recommended for skis with wide waists, we would say that for more than 67 mm.
Features:
- Only compatible with boots with the Tech system. In competition-type boots you must use an optional clip that has the fixing for the toe and in some models a coupling to increase the rear base.
- Safety outlet on the toecap as a heel counter.
- Din 5-13 in toe and heel.
- Recommended for skis with a waist of more than 67 mm by the manufacturer, it is the minimum width of the binding.
- Includes 90 mm brake.
- Weight according to manufacturer 550 g/unit.
IMPORTANT NOTE: By manufacturer's recommendation, this mounting model is NOT compatible for design reasons with the F1 Tronic and Alien models. (not RS) from Scarpa and TLT 7 from Dynafit. It is recommended not to exceed DIN 9 in Atomic's Backland models to avoid deformation of the toe of the boot due to excessive frontal angulation.
