The German manufacturer Edelrid presents the Kaa hoist that incorporates important new features compared to the other options on the market: it is manufactured with flat belt achieving a significant reduction in size , somewhat less in weight, compared to the classic cordino; it is equipped with swivel at both ends; it is disengaged under load by using a non-toothed cam that works by friction and a plastic flange that allows to regulate the descent.
The Kaa has a mechanical advantage of 4: 1 or 5: 1, depending on the orientation of use of the system, and a yield of 91%, which together with the previous novelties make it perfect as a hoist for load transfers in rescue maneuvers, tensioning a progression system or as a stretcher handling device to adjust its position.
It is also certified as a lanyard (EN 354) so it can be used as a stabilization system in the workplace, adjustable restraint system or suspension positioning system with controlled descent.
Finally, it incorporates a small bag attached to the device, for transport and storage, and an RFID chip to facilitate the periodic review of the device.Features:
