The North Face Apex Flex GTX 2.0

The Apex Flex combines Gore-Tex® protection with soft shell flexibility for ultimate versatility in unpredictable conditions.

A joing project by Gore and The North Face, the Apex Flex solves the discomfort and stiffness problem of traditional waterproof shells. Combining Gore-tex protection with softshell flexibility and breathability, the Apex Flex 2.0 and is a great option for less technical pursuits such as hiking, trekking, or urban/daily wear.

Hardshell or Softshell? Yes!

In the past, you had to choose between a fully waterproof but stiff, noisy hardshell or a more comfortable, softer (but not as water resistant) softshell. The Apex Flex GTX gives you the best of both worlds. It uses a three-layer Gore-tex membrane, making it waterproof. However, it also has a stretch-woven exterior for extra mobility with an ultra-soft knit interior to keep you warm and comfortable, resulting in a totally waterproof rain jacket doesn’t feel or sound like an average hardshell. Designed for ultimate versatility in unpredictable conditions, an adjustable hood and pit-zip vents allow added ventilation for use in warmer weather as well as in the cold.

The updated 2.0 version, new for the 2018 season, is 12% more breathable and 10% lighter than the older model.

Come rain or shine, seek no shelter in the Apex Flex GTX 2.0
